Homeless Ministries:  Throughout the year, the youth collect personal toiletries, clothing items and food for our homeless, including those temporarily living in motels.  We make regular trips & visits to deliver much needed supplies and minister to the people.

Also through “Teens Opposing Poverty”, the youth are involved in our  DC/Urban Ministries by recruiting their families and the church to deliver food & clothing items to the homeless down in DC.  Our goal is to make at least one trip a month, build trust & relationships with people and be a light of hope for those in need, by showing unconditional love and attention while meeting immediate needs for people living on the streets.

Each year, through “Teens Opposing Poverty”, the youth take a week-long Summer Mission trip with “Impact The Valley” where they are a part of daily work groups on properties throughout the Shenandoah Valley, repairing homes and doing other hard labor for low income families that cannot afford much needed repairs.  Both physical and relational work by the youth are a part of the entire work week with the families and individuals.

Youth are also actively  involved in other ministries:  Cards & Posters for Juvenile Prisoners, Macedonia’s Book Bag Food Ministry, WATTS (Winchester Area Temporary Thermal Shelter), CCAP, Haiti Health Kits, Feed The Hungry, and more.
