Thoughts on prayer from the Scriptures

God’s word in the Bible provides us many ways to speak to Him.  Sometime God speaks to us in first person and other times through Christ showing us how to pray.  But we often hear prayers of desire, pleading, glory, adoration, thankfulness, healing and more from the disciples and prophets.  Learn to pray by developing an appreciation for the Word of God.  

When I first started reading the scriptures I was surprised when I began to find these beautiful gems.  As I grew in my reading and understanding the beauty of the scriptures unfolds.  Each time I re-read the words of God there is a new layer of wisdom that is revealed.  I pray that as you begin to see the words of God that you too will begin to understand the layers of truth and wisdom within the pages that extend beyond time and connect you to your soul.
