Friends,
This post is a “test.” I am wondering “who’s out there” “who’s reading these blogs”? And what are you getting out of it? I’m considering twittering. Do any of you twitter? Does that interest you – to have more of a back-n-forth conversation?
It’s been a year now that I’ve been blogging on a regular basis. You, as a readership, have been faithful and rather conversational – but really, I had hoped for a few more responses (not complaining, just reflecting aloud with you…)
It occurs to me that most of you who read my blog (thank you, gentle readers) are among the same folks who “sit & listen” to me on Sundays (bless you, you are a patient people).
It may be more interesting for you — more beneficial perhaps? — to have the opportunity to “tweet” back and forth together.
What are your thoughts?
I would appreciate your feedback. – Pastor Jason

Pastor Jason,
I am a former member of your congregation who has moved away due to a job relocation. We relocated back to our “hometown” of Roanoke, VA, and while we love being at home again, we do truly miss the congregation of Macedonia. We are still “church hopping” – hoping to find that same sense of a “home church” that we had when we were there. But I wanted to let you know that I do read your blog and visit the website frequently. Just to let you know, we are the family who had our two daughters, both biological and adopted, christened on the same day back in April, 2006. We then moved about two months later. We will never forget you all and think of you often! Come to see us when you are in the area – we would love to see you and your family!

Twitter’s interesting. It’s great for mobile devices, where people can read and respond “instantly”, but I wonder how many people actually use it? More of a challenge for you will be keeping your posts to under 140 characters. Personally, I prefer your long-form work, but I’ll read you where ever you post.

A few of us in church have Twitter accounts and I am just starting to figure out how to “tweet”. Funny, it takes us about 18 years to figure out the English language and now I have to learn to speak bird.
I love the blogs, and like you, wonder who is reading, what they are getting out of it, and what they think. I’ve began posting my blog on my Twitter account as well as my Facebook.
