Grace and PEACE.
Memorial weekend, people usually are on the move. Places to go, people to see. We are FREE from work, free to move about the country. Free to pursue our interests.

Are you FREE? Christ has set you free to LIVE.

In the Message, I affirmed the Biblical belief that we are free in Christ to LIVE the life God has called us to live. To live in true freedom means, in some ways, that we are to TURN our backs on the old way of life and embrace true freedom — living Godward.

Freedom as the world teaches is “anything goes.” But with God…. Can it be that freedom really means that some things are just not an option for us?

Friends,
God is good.  This Sunday I lifted up the Scripture:  Romans 8:1-2.  “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
 
Then I spoke of several images:  a ferris wheel, the human brain, and the green of nature all around us this spring.
 
My hope is that I am offering some “connecting points” for persons to connect with God.  God is a God of CONNECTIVITY.  God desires to connect with YOU in your everyday life:  whether riding a ferris wheel at a weekend festival, or your ordinary daily thought life.  The human brain, by the way, functions by means of many millions of CONNECTIONS being made, every moment !!

What does that Biblical phrase say to you:  “there is no condemnation”?
 
For me, I am blessed by that word because I — all too often — condemn myself for my many (daily) faults and failings.
 
What does Romans 8:2 say to you?  (yep, you need to look that one up.)
 
“Set Free” is a phrase the New  Testament reappears often — so there’s gotta be a bunch of CONNECTIONS there for us!! 
 
It basically says to me: there’s a new way of living:  Live the FREEDOM that’s of the Lord!

There’s a lot I don’t know.  I confess - I don’t know a lot about God.  But one thing I do know:  In Christ God makes us all ONE.

In Christ we are so much more together than we are apart !   God takes people from all over, from all different backgrounds, different generations, different races, nations, languages — even different fans of rival football teams!  And MAKES US ONE.   In Christ, there is no significant difference between us.

This important because, in Christ, we overcome our divisions.  Divided we fail – but together we can do all things in Christ !!

When we live as One, we can discover the power of authentic relationships.  Be real with one another  That is, we can be TRUE.   True to God, true to ourselves, true to others.  Being real sets us free from falsehoods, from having to fake it.  We can open up and be ourselves.  So, Live as ONE.

Come and see how awesome a God our ONE God truly is !  Come worship with us.
